Tower Beach Club is an indoor-outdoor waterfront venue in San Diego, where we enjoy generally mild weather throughout the year. However, as with any outdoor venue, occasional rain or wind is always a possibility, particularly during the winter months.

Our indoor space accommodates approximately 100 guests for a fully seated event, while our outdoor patio accommodates approximately 120 guests. Larger events typically utilize both spaces.

If rain is expected, events with 100 or fewer guests generally have the flexibility to move their seating entirely indoors. For larger events, indoor seating is limited, so some adjustments or compromises may be necessary if the outdoor areas cannot be used.

Some clients choose to rent multiple 10' x 10' pop-up tents for the patio. These must be freestanding and properly weighted, as tents cannot be attached to the building or railings. Large event tents are not permitted on the lawn under city regulations.

While smaller patio tents can provide protection from occasional showers, they are not a complete solution for heavy rain or strong winds.

San Diego weather is generally favorable, and even when rain is forecast, it doesn't necessarily mean an entire day of rain. Nevertheless, weather cannot be guaranteed.

For events during the rainy season, we recommend considering a guest count that can be comfortably accommodated indoors if having a fully covered event is a priority.

Tower Beach Club does not have a separate indoor overflow space or an additional covered event area. Clients and their coordinators are responsible for planning their preferred layout and any additional weather accommodations within the venue's existing capacities.

Ultimately, the most reliable backup plan is to have an event size that fits comfortably inside should the weather require it.
