You have just put down your deposit on your dream wedding venue and are excited to dive into wedding planning. However, the details continue to pile up, and you begin to feel overwhelmed. Rather than drown in wedding planning, we highly recommend hiring an event planner. Your event planner will do so much more than just plan your dream wedding, they will become your confidant and event visionary. If you are on the fence about hiring an event planner, here are some things to consider.

Event Planners Are Cost-Efficient

A little-known fact is that event planners will save you money in the long run. They are seasoned professionals and know the ins and outs of the event industry. They know where to find the best deals, what vendors to work with, how to read event contracts, and how to keep you on budget. On average, event planners pay for their services (and more) with how much money they save you. 

Event Planners Offer Different Service Packages.

Event planners understand that clients will have different planning needs and offer different packages. Here is an overview of the standard event planning packages. 

• Full-Service:  This package type is for couples who want a full-time professional       overseeing every aspect of their wedding day. The event planner will be there every step of the way, meeting with you monthly and assisting you with all vendor selection and management. We recommend this package for the couple who does not have a lot of tie to dedicate to wedding planning.

• Partial Planning: This package typically begins six months out from your event date. It is ideal for clients that want to take the lead on their wedding planning but still want consistent guidance from a professional. Clients will receive pre-event consultations, help with vendor procurement, and day-of assistance. This package is excellent if you have already completed portions of your planning.

• Month of Planning:  This package is perfect if you want to plan the majority of your  wedding but want someone to coordinate the day of details. You will be able to meet with your event planner a month out from your wedding and put together an event timeline and they will coordinate the timeline with all of your vendors. This package is a fantastic option to reduce stress as your wedding day approaches. 

• Day-of Coordination: If you want to handle all of the pre-event planning, we still highly recommend working with a Day-of event planner. They will give you the flexibility to enjoy your day by addressing any last-minute challenges that arise and handling all of the event logistics.

Event planners are seasoned professionals. They know all of the logistics involved in event planning and are pros at handling multiple moving parts. Additionally, they know how to effectively communicate with vendors to reduce ambiguity.

On your wedding day, you do not want to be overwhelmed with details or concerned if everything is going according to plan. Your event planner will handle every issue that could arise, leaving you the freedom to savor your big day.
